I started photographing the world around me when I was nine. At ten, I was developing and printing my own black and white images. Since those early days, I've expanded to color slide film and finally to digital photography. Most of the photography work I do today is done at onsite studios or using existing natural or artificial lighting. Most of my product photography was shot as needed while working in- house as a computer production artist for various companies and design agencies.

Studio photography has its place, particularly for large cover shots and product glamour shots. But more often, that level of lighting and technical control is overkill, or at least outside the budget. Also, most catalogs and brochures contain images that can't be brought into the studio -- photos of production lines, office environments, buildings and other large objects -- due to size or their fixed nature. Other times cost is the main factor. Whatever the project, I can produce high-quality images for less.

My other offering in photography is stock digital images. I have an impressive and growing collection of stock photography available for use at microstock prices. Most of the images were taken on a Canon EOS 10D or my EOS 20D or even my new EOS 5D, but some of the older work was shot on film and then scanned on a drum scanner.
